2023 INTERSTATE CHALLENGE – EOI CLOSE 1st JUNE 2023

At the SAPL committee meeting held on the 18th May 2023, it was decided to support this years Interstate Challenge  and send two teams to Newcastle. This year’s Interstate Challenge will be an Open competition and Expressions of Interest are sought from players of all ages.

Attached is a proposed timeline for the team selection and training process and an “Expression of Interest” form.

SAPL players who are interested in taking part should complete the form and return it to Adrian Clements by the 1st June 2023. Both Adrian Clements ( clementsadrian@hotmail.com ) and Stan Wilson ( secretary@sapetanque.com ) welcome any questions from interested players.

AUSTRALIAN MASTERS GAMES 2023 – EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION

The 2023 Australian Masters Games will include Petanque under the auspices of the SAPL. Naz Saunders (amg@sapetanque.com) is the Convenor of the Organising Committee for Petanque.

2022/2023 SA State Mixed Doubles Championship

The 2022/2023 SAPL Mixed Doubles Championship was held at Eastern Suburbs Pétanque Club on Sunday 30th April, 2023.

Twenty-eight teams competed in this year’s SA Mixed Doubles Championship, a record turnout for this event. The conditions were mild but damp, with a few light showers keeping a spring in the step of the newly refurbished Eastern Suburbs terrain.
